Two great winners at the NOFFLA `Gold Star` Awards 2014-2015

We were delighted to attend the announcement of the winning wines at SIP 2014 held at Ely IFSC on 6th October and – following our success last year with Alpha Zeta ‘C‘ Chardonnay 2012  winning the White Wine of the Year award - even more delighted to have not one, but two ‘Gold Star‘ winners!

Taking home both the Old World White Under €15 with the Cantina Di Monteforte Soave Classico `Terre di Monteforte‘ 2013 (Veneto, Italy) and the Sparkling Wine Under €60 with Hattingley Valley Classic Cuvée 2011 (Hampshire, England), we were proud to see these two fantastic wines recognised by the judges. As strong supporters of NOFFLA and the independent off-trade we aim to supply wines that deliver on both quality and value for money.

In addition to the two “Gold Star” winners we picked up the following Silver and Bronze Awards:

Silver Awards
Pieropan Soave Classico 2013
(Old World White Under €20)
Montes Classic Series Colchagua Merlot 2012 (New World Red Under €15)

Bronze Awards
Vigneti del Salento ‘I Muri‘ Negroamaro 2012
(Old World Red Under €15)
Willunga 100 McLaren Vale Grenache 2011 (New World Red Under €20).

The ‘Gold Star Awards‘ 2014-2015 highlight a selection of wines especially chosen by wine experts in the National Off-Licence Association and independent wine writers, Leslie Williams and Liam Campbell, which will be exclusively marketed by off-licences which are members of the Association.

Points were awarded on the basis of appearance, smell, taste and value for money criteria and the winning were selected as the best wines, from the key suppliers.
