Liberty Wines strengthens Rhône portfolio with Maison Nicolas Perrin

We are delighted to announce that Liberty Wines has been appointed the new agent in the UK and Ireland for Northern Rhône producer Maison Nicolas Perrin.  

Established in 2009, the micro-négociant is a joint venture between Nicolas Jaboulet (formerly of Paul Jaboulet Aîné in Tain) and the Perrin family of Château de Beaucastel.   

David Gleave, managing director at Liberty Wines, commented: “Maison Nicolas Perrin brings together the scions of two of the great families of the Rhône. We are very happy to be reunited with Nicolas Jaboulet and working with him on his new venture with the Perrin family. We were impressed by the precision of these wines which, allied with their modern style and the emphasis on fruit, makes them stunning examples of their appellations.”  

Liberty Wines has further strengthened its Rhône portfolio with the recent additions of Northern Rhône producers Domaine du Chêne and François & Fils.  

The François & Fils Côte Rôtie is a true ‘boutique wine’, made on a small scale by Yoann François from four hectares of vineyards in the lieu dits of ‘Les Rochains’, ‘La Brosse’, ‘Rochin’ and ‘Le Bourrier’.    

Domaine du Chêne’s 16 hectares of vines include three hectares of Viognier in Condrieu and seven hectares of Syrah in Saint Joseph.  Brother and sister team Julien and Anaïs Rouvière are dedicated to producing top quality wines from outstanding estate-grown fruit that are true expressions of their regions, and they are focused on sustainability in their operations.
