New releases & old time classics at the New Zealand ATT

Liberty Wines presented an exciting selection of New Zealand wines at the NZWG tasting in Dublin. New releases from Kevin Judd – the Greywacke Sauvignon Blanc 2012, Wild Sauvignon 2011 and Pinot Noir 2011 – drew enthusiastic fans, while some old time classics shone, in particular Pinot Noirs from Ata Rangi and Delta Vineyard.

The Tinpot Hut estate in Marlborough presented the new additions to its range in the form of the single vineyard ‘McKee Vineyard’ Gruner Veltliner and the ‘Turner Vineyard’ Riesling, both from the challenging but excellent 2012 vintage.

Also on show was the new Lani Marlborough Gewürztraminer, which proved very popular. Matt Thomson was on hand to show, alongside his Delta wines, his two white wines from ‘The Paddler’ - a ‘Kabinett-style‘ Riesling and a Gruner Veltliner from Marlborough. Flying the flag for Central Otago was Wild Earth, with their excellent Pinot Noir and Riesling, which make a distinctive contrast to their Marlborough counterparts.
