Gold Stars for Kim Crawford and Alpha Zeta at NOffLA annual awards
We are delighted to announce that two of our wines received Gold Stars at yesterday's NOffLA Irish Wine Show Star Awards 2019-2020.
The Kim Crawford Pinot Gris 2017 (Marlborough, New Zealand) was selected as the New World White Under €20, with the judges commenting: "This is cool fermented to help retain the maximum of complex aromas and textures...Ripe guava and melon aromas, full-flavoured and lithe on the palate. Well made and great value!"
The Alpha Zeta 'C' Chardonnay 2018 (Veneto, Italy) was named the Old World White Under €15 and described by the judges as "made by a New Zealand winemaker focused on flavour and ripeness...Concentrated Chardonnay with tropical fruits and fine-boned mineral freshness. A wine of real distinction!"
Alpha Zeta also collected a Silver Star, as did Piper-Heidsieck, while Montes picked up Silver and Bronze Stars, as below:

Now in its 19th year, the annual National Off Licence Association (NOffLA) Awards saw over 600 entries this year. from which the panel of NOffLA judges and independent wine journalists selected their 15 Gold Star Award category winners.
This year's winning wines will be available across Ireland via NOffLA member outlets and will be clearly recognisable by distinctive Award symbol stickers on each bottle.
