De Loach Chardonnay scoops Wine of the Year at NOffLA annual awards

We are delighted to announce that the De Loach Heritage Collection Chardonnay 2018 from California has been named Wine of the Year 2020-21 at the prestigious annual NOffLA Irish Wine Show Star Awards.

The De Loach Heritage Collection Chardonnay 2018 won the Gold Star in the New World White Under €20 category before going on to scoop the top accolade at yesterday's virtual ceremony.

Also Gold Star winners in their categories were the Willunga 100 McLaren Vale Shiraz/Viognier 2018 (New World Red Under €20) and Piper-Heidsieck Cuvée Brut NV (Sparkling/Champagne Under €60).

The Montes Limited Selection Leyda Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2020 collected a New World White Under €20 Bronze Star.

Now in its 20th year, the annual National Off Licence Association (NOffLA) Awards saw over 600 entries this year, from which the panel of NOffLA judges and independent wine journalists selected their 15 Gold Star Award category winners.

This year's winning wines will be available across Ireland via NOffLA member outlets and will be clearly recognisable by distinctive Award symbol stickers on each bottle. For more information on our four winning wines or the rest of our extensive portfolio, please get in touch.
