Social Responsibility

At the core of our approach to corporate social responsibility is how we work in partnership to address four priorities: employee wellbeing; environment and sustainability; alcohol and responsibility; and charitable giving.

Environment and Sustainability

We have seen first-hand the pressures of climate change in vineyards and olive groves. As a business, we are committed to curbing the effects of climate change to help ensure the sustainability of the global wine industry and have been certified carbon neutral since 2015.

The transportation of every bottle we deliver is also carbon neutral, as we off-set all emissions from the cellar door to our customers’ door.

Employee Wellbeing

It is important that everyone working for Liberty Wines feels happy and valued in the workplace. We invest in training for the personal and professional development of our employees across the company. This includes wine education qualifications through the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (of which we are a patron) and Institute of Masters of Wine.

Alcohol and Responsibility

Our wines and other alcoholic beverages are enjoyed responsibly every day both on-premise and in homes across Ireland. However, as a responsible importer and wholesaler of wine we believe we have a role to play in tackling alcohol misuse. We market and promote our products responsibly, adhering to the spirit as well as the letter of marketing codes and regulations.
